This second victory in 17 championship games increased Portsmouth six points before the relegation zone and ended Norwich’s play-off hopes, so they made 13 points left with three games.

Norwich manager Johannes Hoff Thorup speaks to BBC Radio Norfolk: “Based on the game, it is fair that we didn’t win it. There were many things defensive that we didn’t do properly.
“It depends on the preparation and is ready for what your opponent brings to a game, and we do not match that at all.
“I felt that every time she brought the ball forward, I could be a chance or a goal.
“We have to look at it. It is definitely a weakness. They are simple situations with which we strive.
“I hate it when you have to talk about the desire of a football player, but I think there was a difference today. Portsmouth had more at stake and was ready to throw her body in front of the ball.

Bishop said: “We have been waiting for it for a long time and it was frustrating because we know how good we can be.

“We just played with a little more freedom. There are some talented boys on this page and if we do it right, there are not too many who can deal with them.
“So we have to take this confidence in every game because part of the football we played was awarded.”
Jack Stacey from Norwich said according to The Pink ‘un: “Embarrassing. Disappointing. They were the words used in the changing room.
“To be honest, I think I would have exactly the same opinion if I had observed it from the outside and you look at the result and performance and it looks as if we can’t play anything for ourselves.
“As a single player, you shouldn’t have any appearance to fight to give 100 percent on the field.
“We should play every game for ourselves, for the fans, teammates, for ourselves, and I think to fight something that you can never fight for, should never enter if you play a game.
“I personally don’t think (you broke off tools), but if you look at the game and look at the result, I could see how people would come to this conclusion.
“We want to win every game at home and come here and score five goals is simply not good enough.
“As an individual, you always have to give 100%. It doesn’t matter what the external factor is about, and I hope we can show that on Monday,” he said.
