Dorking Wanderers appreciate a 15 -year -old footballer who died on Friday afternoon in tragic incidents.
The victim at Beckenham Place Park Lake was appointed Izaiah Smith. He was a 15-year-old boy who died after swinging in the lake on Friday, April 4, 2025.
Rescue services, including specialists, the London Ambulance Service and the London fire brigade, reacted to the scene shortly after 3:00 p.m.
Izaiah was recovered from the water at 10:42 p.m. and taken to the hospital, where he was unfortunately declared dead. His football club, the Seda Football Academy, paid tribute to him and described him as a bright and talented young man.
The Metropolitan Police treats his death as unexpected, but not suspicious. The lake remains closed, while the wider park was reopened.

Marc: “Yes, we have a really tragic sad matter, so I mean that I am pleased with regard to the game over the point, the difficult pitch, the difficult conditions, and I think a point we started the third day are two points, um.
“But there were some terrible news with one of ours around and -16 who drowned yesterday and played for the club on a Saturday and Sunday, and I know that the football community will be with him, and his family. Obviously, it takes a massive vanguard.
On Saturday, April 5, the Seda Football Academy appointed the victim Izaiah Smith, a popular player from the U-16 years.
In a tribute divided on Instagram, the association said that it was “about the loss” of a bright and talented young man.
“Izaiah was such a bright light in our program,” said the post office.
“He always presented everyone with the most delightful smile during training. His big character and its contagious energy are deeply missed by all.”
