When asked whether he had sent a communication in the deadline, he said that he could not clarify and instead paid tribute to his players for their commitment in a turbulent week: “I can’t answer too much on this topic.
“It is not my topic and I am the wrong person to talk about it. Hopefully we can solve this problem, this is very important for the club. But I don’t know that we can only cross with our fingers, we cannot influence it. We have to try on Tuesday (at Blackburn Rovers) against a page that is currently fighting a bit.
“We have to go again, we have to invest. It will not be easy. For everyone in the team, the players. But I said to these players that I am so proud that they have never complained about anything since my message. This is the key message and we go into the last six games.”
About how catastrophic the reality of such a sanction would be for the future of the club: “If this is the case, the club seems to be solutions to what is possible and what is not possible.
“I think we had our message yesterday in the article about what we should do (if they are put under Embargo). I don’t know. But I will not concentrate on the next six games.
“You know that better than me, the topic of the article. We consider this as a group. Hopefully we will find a solution on Monday and can lay away this topic and concentrate on sports science. This is what I love to concentrate on football, about my players, the tactics, our fantastic fans, not too much to speak too much.”
