Los Angeles FC is still looking for more consistency in the middle of a crowded schedule and will visit Winless Houston Dynamo FC on Saturday.
Los Angeles (3-3-0, 9 points) was a Jekyll and Hyde team in his six games of the regular season. LAFC exceeded the opponents 4-0 in their three victories, but was exceeded 9: 4 in their three defeats. Last Saturday, LAFC allowed three goals in the first 40 minutes before narrowing the gap in one final 3-2 defeat against San Diego FC.
In addition to the MLS time plan, Los Angeles FC also competes in the quarterfinals of the Concacaf Champions Cup. LAFC won a 1-0 against Inter Miami on Wednesday, which coach Steve Cherundolo was for a better representation of his team’s skills.
“There are LAFC appearances in which we are aggressive, committed and connected. I think that was missing in San Diego.
Despite the second leg of the quarter -finals in Miami this Wednesday, it cannot afford to stop by an increasingly desperate squad in Houston in Houston. The dynamo (0-4-2, 2 points) is one of five MLS clubs that do not have to win this season.
Houston held the 3-1 defeat on Sunday against the Timbers in Portland, but the Holzhölzer held a goal with a 9-1 lead. The dynamo has only 10 goal shots this season that are bound to very few in the league.
Houston’s coach, Ben Olsen, said his team “in a hurry” to create offensive opportunities if he believes that the dynamo must be clinical due to a lack of team speed.
“It was only undisciplined, and it gets old. … what we say and it is not acceptable to implement it for distances of these games,” said Olsen.
The newly acquired midfielder Ondrej Lingr and the defender Pablo Ortiz could give their Dynamo debuts on Saturday.
Igor Jesus (Red Card Suspension) is not available for Los Angeles. Olivier Giroud and Marlon each missed the last three league games from LAFC due to leg injuries, but the duo was available against Miami.
