Let us tell you that the government had announced in the budget presented on February 1, 2025 to add 75,000 new medical seats over the next 5 years. The government worked quickly on this program.

    The government was asked whether the government has decided over the next 5 years to increase 75,000 medical seats at medical universities. In response to this question, the State Minister of Health and Family care Anupriya Patel said that increasing medical seats were a continuous process. The government has taken several measures to increase the number of universities in medical medical, according to which the medical seats have increased. The number of medical universities has now risen to 780 with an increase of 101.5 percent compared to 387 before 2014. Apart from that, the number of MBBS seats has now risen to 1.18.190 a.m., with an increase of 130% of 51,348 before 2014. In the academic year 2024-25, a total of 13,436 medical seats were added.

    The minister said: ‘The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare also operates a centrally sponsored program to improve existing medical universities in order to increase the MBBS seats. As part of this program, the citizens’ work, devices and furniture with a cost limit of RS 1.20 CRore per seat of 1.20 billion rupees is performed in order to increase the MBBS seats at state medical universities. This is carried between the central and state governments in the ratio of 90:10 for the north-east and special category states and 60:40 for others.

    However, only the details of the seats of 117950 MBBS were given on the National Medical Commission website. According to the details given by the government, however, it is clear that this time more than 1.18 Lakh -MBBBS seats will be available for approval. The details of the updated seats can soon be placed on the NMC website. Last year, only about 1.08 Lakh -MBBBS seats were available for Neet UG candidates. But this time the students get a certain relief due to the increase in ten thousand seats.

    150 MBBS seats to increase the RML

    The Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital is expanded to provide patients better health services. According to this program, the number of MBBS seats in the hospital is increased from 100 to 250, which gives more students the opportunity to receive medical training. Apart from that, 666 new beds are added in the hospital, which increases the total number of beds from 1532 to 2198.

    Neet UG will deliver the approval in MBBS, BAMS, BMS, BSMS and BHMUS, Bachelor of Dental Studies (BDS) and Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal husbandry (BVSC & AH) across the country. The NEET examination will be proposed on May 4th.
