Reds try to reinvent the crime at the series opener against Brewers

The manager of Cincinnati Reds, Terry Francona (77), looks out of the shelter in the seventh in the MLB-Inter-Interleague game between the Cincinnati Reds and the Texas Rangers in the Great American Ball Park in the city center of Cincinnati, April 2, 2025. The Rangers won.

The Cincinnati Reds are still looking for a consistency from their offensive, which rises on Thursday evening in the start of a four-game series at the Milwaukee Brewers.

The red followed a 14-lying uprising against Texas on Monday by losing 1-0 in back-to-back games to the Rangers.

“If I thought she would scream a few hits, I would do it now,” said the manager of the Reds in the first year, Terry Francona,.

On Monday evening, Cincinnati scored 14 hit-Darunter three Homer-Beim 14:3 victory against the visa rangers. However, the red combined only seven goals in the last two games, including one for additional bases.

“It is time to do our work,” said Reds’ third Baseman, Jeimer Candelario.

The left -hander Nick Lodolo is said to take the hill for Cincinnati in the serial opener.

Lodolo (1: 0, 3.00 ERA) had a solid season start on Saturday and limited the San Francisco Giants to two runs and five goals over six innerings with a 3-2 victory.

He said he was not satisfied with the command of his parking spaces, but feels more comfortable when the game continued.

“I started to stand better than I got my legs below me when the game continued,” said Lodolo. “Even then, it is not the way you create the command that you think you think it is where you want. I just fought.”

Lodolo made four starts in his career against the Brewers and is 1-0 with an ERA of 3.38.

He is voted against the left -hander Nestor Cortes, which is to be rebounded on Saturday from a hard start to the season.

Cortes (0-1, 36.00 ERA) was shaken for five home runs in just two in ours with a defeat of 20: 9 against the New York Yankees, with which he spent the last four seasons.

He gave up eight runs, six goals and five walks on Saturday.

“Obviously I spent a few years there, and I could be on her side and didn’t have to put her, but I think this comes with the territory to be a major League pitcher,” said Cortes. “You never know where you will end, and at some point you will face someone you know, or someone who is near you, and it was by chance (Saturday).”

Cortes is 0-0 with an ERA of 1.21 in his lonely career against Cincinnati.

The Brewers came back after swept in the seasonal opening series by the Yankees last weekend and then lost the start of a three-game set against the visiting Kansas City Royals.

Milwaukee won 5-0 on Tuesday and received another extraordinary pitching performance from Starter Freddy Peralta and Bullpen on Wednesday in a 3-2 win in 11 Innerings.

Jackson Chourio twice the victory against the Royals on Wednesday and won against the Royals. He hit safely in five games in a row.

Brice Turang had beaten three times and grounded with runners on the second and third and without outs in the seventh inning of a tie game on Wednesday. He came through in the 11th with a suicide speed to win it.
