    Stephen Curry, Warriors Down Nuggets, tightens the race for the 4th place

    Stephen Curry bombed in a game of 36 points, Brandin Podziemski and Jimmy Butler III, together for 45 more and the Golden State Warriors, the Denver Nuggets 118-104 unloaded in San Francisco on Friday.

    The Warriors (46-31) achieved their fifth victory in a row in the Western Conference Playoff Chase to climb fourth place in Nugget (47-31) within half a game.

    Golden State is a game in front of the Memphis Grizzlies and Minnesota Timberwolves to avoid the western game tournament.

    Curry shot 7-against-15 from 3-point range and Podziemski 4-to-8 when the Warriors enforced the Nuggets 48-36 from a long reach. Golden State recorded his first victory over Denver in three attempts this season.

    A third defeat in a row, Denver dropped four games behind the second -placed Houston Rockets with only four remaining games.

    The attempt to lead the warriors into exhaustion after Golden State passed a six-game trip that ended with a hard victory against the Los Angeles Lakers the night before.
