    Karan Kumar (34) had received an income tax termination of 33.88 billion rupees after the lawyers had informed him that a company called Mahavir Enterprises Enterprises had carried out large-scale transactions in petroleum products and steel goods in Delhi with fake pan and Aadhaar tickets on behalf of Karan.

    “I received the notice of income on March 29 at 4 p.m.. I met income tax officers who advised me to do a FIR in this regard,” said Karan Kumar, who as a contract employee in the State Bank of India, Khair, reports.

    The police submitted a complaint

    In this regard, he gave a complaint on the Chandau police station. The House Officer station (Sho), Chandaus Haribhan Singh, confirmed that a case was registered in Kumar’s complaint and the matter is examined.

    At the beginning of March 28th, Mohit Kumar, a resident of the Sangor Village under the Gabhan police station, was shocked when the local postman handed over an income tax notice written in English. Mohit, a small employee in a transport company, was looking for help from his employer who consulted a GST lawyer. The lawyer told him that a law firm called MK Traders did business with the Aadhaar card from Mohit.

    According to the digital records of the income tax department, MK dealers have carried out large business transactions since 2020. Due to this digitally preserved information, the department handed over a communication of 3.87 billion rupees to Mohit, which annoyed the unfortunate employee.

    Mohit said: “I survive with a monthly income of 8,500 rupees and also support my older parents. This message angry me. I am very stressed.”

    He said he tried to contact the income tax officer who issued the message but received no answer. Mohit recalled that he had advertised a job in Delhi in 2020 and submitted all of his identity documents. In another similar case, a small juice seller Raees Ahmed received a similar notice of income tax of 7.79 billion rupees on March 22, which surprised him.

    Officials from the local income tax department said that the communications were sent from Delhi and “nothing can be done here”. A senior income taxist from Aligarh said that such cases of “digital fraud” indicate a systematic abuse of the digital identity system.

    What should you do if you get a wrong message?
