    UCF, Nebraska aim to go out in the Crown final winner

    Darius Johnson was on a mission and his next task is to help UCF win a championship.

    Johnson has scored a total of 73 points in the last two competitions. He endeavors to achieve another excursion with a high october when the knights (20-16) play in College Basketball Crown Championship game in Las Vegas against Nebraska (20-14).

    Johnson poured the best 42 points in his career in the semi-finals in the semi-finals in the 104-98 overtime win on Saturday. Two days earlier he had 31 points with a 88-80 quarter-final victory over Cincinnati.

    “We play for a championship,” said Johnson. “… I want to go out the right way. We want to do something special before we go all separate ways.”

    “I was wide open for the streptback three, one of my points of contact,” said Johnson, “so I could benefit from it.”

    Nebraska reached the title game on Saturday with a solid victory of 79: 69 against Boise.

    The Cornhuskers made a season height of 12 3-to -ler, while turning a best of the season of 63.2 percent from the 3-point range.

    Juwan Gary was 4-against-4 from the 3-point range of your career high for branded and nine rebounds produced.

    “I just found my rhythm,” said Gary. “I try to force nothing. I am a senior and this is my last opportunity to play with these boys. I just have to go out and play as hard as possible.”

    “We may not be in March Madness, but we’re still playing,” said Gary. “We want to go out there and leave our stamp out there. You can’t get a better feeling than win a championship on Sunday.”

    Brice Williams had 14 points against Boise State, but has an average of 24 for the tournament. He scored the first two games 30 and 28.

    The winner of the title game receives no money. The runner-up receives $ 100,000.
