Studies show that up to 80% of people who lose a significant amount of weight regulations within a year or two.
This underlines a hard reality: Losing weight is a challenge, but it can be even more difficult to endure it. The weight is common due to a complex interaction of factors. This includes biological changes that slow down the metabolism after weight loss, the challenge of maintaining new habits in the long term, life events that disturb routines, and unrealistic expectations of weight loss and the maintenance process.
The common weight struggle can also be your path to permanent changes.
Jonathan’s story: a second chance of sustainable weight loss
Enter Jonathan.
We are very proud to leave our customers better than found them, including more effective habits, routines, training sessions and diets. And that seemed to be the case with Jonathan on the surface. He worked with us, lost almost 20 pounds and then completed a healthier life.
Or we thought.
Jonathan returned in January 2022. The weight he lost had come back. Jonathan was frustrated and we were injured because we did not complete the job.
“I returned to Sports On Daily a second time after I had lost £ 15 to 20 in 2020 and then won this again in the course of about a year and a half. I had really started to believe this narrative that I failed that I could not return where I was, and that I was the ability to control my physical health and the appearance of physical health and the appearance of physical health took over, lost. “
Everything in our approach is intended to help people build the skills that enable them to adapt to variations of life. It is not enough that we can help our customers.
For the second round, we concentrated more on helping Jonathan to be where he wanted, but without returning the weight.
Concentration on sustainability in weight loss.
This time we not only touched what worked for him, but also what was sustainable. It is the backbone of our approach, but sometimes when you see results – it is easy to stop and ask if the right habits are built. It helps you to ask: “Do we build this up for weight loss or do we build this in real life?”
Or, what is more important, it helps to speak to customers to understand: “What do you think you will be healthy now and in the future?”
Jonathan had all the tools, but he doubted that he could do it again. His perspective could be familiar to some of them:
“Many of my fears and lack of trust result from unrealistic expectations about what and will not work to change my body and achieve my goals.
At some point I got tired and when I was hitting again, I started to trust my knowledge of what would work for me. In fact, I had expected that even major changes and adjustments had to be made this time to achieve my goals after I turned this weight again. “
You are taught to believe that great results are the by -product of extreme victims and behaviors. While the most extreme results (think that it is a professional athlete or take part in a bodybuilding competition) require more victims, but the incredible results that most people want do no drastic changes.
The power of the way of thinking of weight loss.
As Jonathan discovered the second time, a simple shift in the way of thinking can unlock incredible results and life -changing healthy behavior:
“I came to assume the fact that it was really more to make progress:
- Back to the basics
- Make several small (but important) changes in my diet
- To be ready to experiment with things that worked for me (so that they stay!)
- Give the right time to see results (to include the inevitable heights and depths). “
We couldn’t have said it better, Jonathan.
